6/8/2023 Faculty Showcase: Communities of Practice/Praxis
The Title III Team invites you to attend the Community of Practice Showcase. Faculty who participated in Title III-sponsored Communities of Practice (Anti Racist, 4 Connections, and English Department) will discuss their experience and its impact on their practice.
–aligns with Title III Objectives regarding disaggregated pass rates in gateway courses, completion of 30 credits in one year for Black and Hispanic students, and faculty adopting culturally responsive practices.
–aligns with the MFR: “Core Theme 2: Increase educational success and close equity gaps: collaborate to improve. Faculty and staff at Highline College collaborate to ensure equitable progress toward educational goals.”
–aligns with the Faculty Contract, “The College recognizes the importance of creating and maintaining working conditions that support faculty in practicing equity pedagogy.”
