This talk introduces the Compassionate Math Framework, which outlines the socioemotional factors that contribute to success in mathematics as well as other areas (STEM). Equity and social justice, as a foundational component of the framework, is also discussed. This framework is based on the assumption that learning mathematics is both an emotional and intellectual act.
