Advising Beyond the Classroom: Integrating Career and Academic Advising
This presentation will help faculty understand how to support students with career exploration by integrating simple, meaningful career conversations into academic advising. It emphasizes that faculty don’t need to be career experts, they just need to know how to ask the right questions and connect students to the right campus resources. Through practical tools, scenarios, and referral guidance, faculty will learn how to help students link their coursework to their future career pathway and how to access campus career resources at any point in their academic journey
