2/25 (re)Imagining equity in higher ed

“Advancing Equity and Belonging: Faculty and Staff Cross-Pollinating Ideas” Winter 2022 Virtual Event Sponsored by South Puget Sound Community College

Keynote Address and Workshop, featuring Dr. Frank Harris III,  Professor of Postsecondary Education, Co-Director of the Community College Equity Assessment Lab, and Senior Strategist in the Division of Campus Diversity and Student Affairs, San Diego State University

Dr. Harris emphasizes how “We can no longer begin conversations about student success by asking ‘what’s wrong with these students?’ Instead, we must ask, ‘How do we radically (re)imagine all of the ways in which we design and deliver postsecondary education to better meet the needs of today’s college students and to serve them equitably and responsibly?’”

Afternoon Panel: “Considering the Whole Student: Voices from Staff and Faculty,” featuring WA CTC educators
