10/25/22 Reflection Micro Workshops

*Participants are expected to attend all six sessions.  This is a series.

The ability to reflect on experience is key to transformational and enduring learning. Reflection can be particularly powerful in experiential learning courses, though it is a useful skill for all students to develop, no matter their field of interest. This series of half-hour micro-workshops in April will help faculty learn techniques and develop skills to strengthen the impact reflection can have on student learning. Below are the sessions (descriptions and specific dates on the RISE website):

Presented by RISE.  The RISE Learning Institute at Bellevue College lives and breathes experiential learning and high-impact practices, especially internships, learning communities, project-based learning, undergraduate research, and community-engaged learning (aka “service-learning”). Our state-wide work leading the undergraduate research consortium, our ongoing research collaborations with the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Center for Project-Based Learning, and our active participation in the national Community College Civic Engagement Collaborative  (CCCEC) all attest to our passion to bring robust, hands-on, and evidence-based curricular learning opportunities to community college students.
