12/9/2022 Faculty Advising Series – Part IV

(Rescheduled from 12/2) As part of the new contract, advising is mandatory for full-time faculty and optional for part-time faculty. To help prepare new faculty to begin advising students (and as a refresher for current faculty members), the LTC will offer a 4-part faculty advising series over the course of the fall quarter.

During Part IV of the four-part fall faculty advisor training series, participants will exchange ideas and discuss advising scenarios with advising colleagues, while learning how to incorporate student services.

Outcomes:

• Understand how and when to incorporate Student Services in faculty advising practice.
• Learn best practices for responding to various student advising scenarios.
