11/18/2022 Faculty Advising Series – Part III

As part of the new contract, advising is mandatory for full-time faculty and optional for part-time faculty. To help prepare new faculty to begin advising students (and as a refresher for current faculty members), the LTC will offer a 4-part faculty advising series over the course of the fall quarter.

During Part III of the four-part fall faculty advisor training series, participants will learn about holistic methods of advising (including in-class and group advising) and ideas for implementation. In addition, components of academic planning in Aviso will be reviewed.

Outcomes:

• Learn more about building academic plans in Aviso
• Gain practical ideas for holistic advising including group and in-class advising, from seasoned faculty advisors
