10/14/22 Faculty Advising Series – Part 1
As part of the new contract, advising is mandatory for full-time faculty.
Tenure-track faculty and lecturers will not be assigned advisees during their first quarter unless agreed to by the division chair and faculty member and will participate in advisor training. So, it is essential to be prepared before a load of advisees is assigned.
To help prepare new faculty to begin advising students (and as a refresher for current faculty members), the LTC will offer a 4-part faculty advising series over the course of the fall quarter.
Our first advising training session will take place on Friday, Oct 14th, from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm via Zoom.
