Faculty Advising Office Hours
Faculty Advising is required per the expectations outlined in Appendix F of the 2022-25 HCEA contract. Formal advising activities and the use of Aviso may spur many questions so Faculty Advisors are invited to drop-in during open office hours to chat with the Director of Faculty Advising, Lynn Hermanson. Bring your questions about student advising, advisee assignments, or challenges and concerns. Discussions will be used to facilitate process improvements for faculty advising, develop professional development opportunities, create advising aids, and boost confidence with student advising and Aviso.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify knowledge gaps for academic advising services
- Discuss and identify challenges and concerns (and victories!) with academic advising and Aviso
- Discuss opportunities for improving faculty advisor assignments
- Locate resources for use in academic advising and student engagement

Starting September 26th until December 6th. Every Tuesday from 10:00-11:00am and Wednesdays from 3:00-4:00 (except October 25, November 22 & November 29).
