Advising Center Office Hours for Faculty Advisors
The Advising Center’s team of professional Pathway Advisors will host twice-weekly Zoom drop-in sessions for faculty advisors throughout the Winter 2024 quarter. Drop-ins offer an informal opportunity to ask questions about everything from reading an AAR (Academic Advisement Report), navigating ctcLink’s many features, and clarifying degree requirements to helping students understand prerequisites, navigate transfer pathways, and connect to campus resources.
Learning Objectives:
- New faculty advisors will learn how to navigate ctcLink’s Enrollment and Academics features with a particular emphasis on the mobile-friendly version of ctcLink
- Faculty advisors will improve their knowledge of program requirements, prerequisites, transfer planning, and class offerings, particularly outside their own fields
- Faculty advisors will improve their ability to navigate less-common advising situations with the support of the Pathway Advising team
