Multiple dates: 4 Connections online
Relationships are the heartbeat of student success. The Learning and Teaching Center is hosting short sessions to learn about and discuss use of the 4 Connections Online.
What:
- The 4 Connections Online – 30 min Zoom sessions – Learn and Discuss
- The 4 Connections are simple practices that you can use to build relationships with your students. Their beauty lies in their simplicity; their power lies in moving from intuitive to intentional relationship building. Use of the 4 Connections appears to correlate with both increasing and narrowing opportunity gaps around pass rates.
When:
- Come to any or all of the 4 Connections sessions listed below – no registration needed
- Each session runs 30 minutes.
- Links will be sent again the morning of each session

We’ll start with a 5-7 minute overview of the connection, followed by plenty of time for you to discuss and brainstorm:
- What have you tried?
- What’s working well?
- What would you like to try, or need help with?
Learning goals:
- Discuss ideas to help students feel welcome to engage
- Discuss ways to reach out to students who might be hesitant to ask for help, particularly online
- Discuss how to combat online ‘invisibility’
