11/9/2023 Advising Running Start Students: Best Practices
Running Start is a great opportunity for juniors and seniors to complete high school graduation requirements and obtain college credit, concurrently. Given the unique aspects of Running Start, and large number of Running Start students at Highline, as an advisor, it’s important to be familiar with best practices, tools and resources to assist this student population. This session will provide an overview of the Running Start program, clarify the role of the Running Start Office, and explain some of the nuances in advising Running Start students.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain a better understanding of the Running Start program.
- Understand how to collaborate with the Highline Running Start Office.
- Learn best practices for advising Running Start students.
