Backward Design

This design process, unlike the usual ‘content first’ process, begins with thinking about the foundational knowledge, ideas or skills you would like students to remember or do, well beyond your course.

Transparent Assignments

Transparency in learning and teaching, or TiLT, is an equity strategy that aims to ensure all students begin with the same starting line information before tackling an assignment, particularly in understanding the semantics of the assignment rubric or checklist.
