SUMMARY:Winter Wellness Day
DESCRIPTION:The LTC has curated a list of activities that will help us reset\, recharge\, and get psyched for our winter classes!  Join us on January 2\, 2025!\nThe majority of time blocks are 20 minutes\, so snack and bio breaks are built in. Plus\, there’s an entire hour built in for lunch (your treat)!  If you complete all activities and submit the survey\, you’ll receive a certificate of completion from the LTC.  You might even get a sticker! Here are some of the activities so far:\n\n\nWellness exercises\n\n\nSyllabus temperature check\n\n\nAn early start to earning cold hard cash\n\n\nDe-stressing with stretching and breathing\n\n\nChecking in with RSI\n\n\nGratitude Journal\n\n\nLearning Objectives:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPractice culturally responsive instruction. This includes designing curriculum\, pedagogy\, and assessment that are relevant to students; valuing what students already know; and empowering students to demonstrate knowledge in multiple ways as appropriate for the discipline(s) or program(s).\n\n\nShow commitment to student learning. This includes planning\, organizing\, and creating an interactive\, cooperative\, and mutually respectful learning environment\, incorporating research-based practices to teaching and assessment.\n\n\nCommunicate effectively. This includes conveying information and expectations clearly\, listening carefully\, encouraging students to communicate\, and acting with respect\, enthusiasm\, and empathy toward students.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitator:\n\n\n\nLTC Faculty and YOU! Many of the activities are self-guided\, but there are two optional check-ins with the LTC on the schedule.\nModality:\nOn Zoom.
