SUMMARY:ATL + WACC Conference: Heart. Mind. Community. - Watch Party!
DESCRIPTION:This conference is a 2 ½ day virtual event bringing together Washington’s most beloved annual conferences—SBCTC’s Assessment\, Teaching\, and Learning (ATL) Conference and the ELC’s Washington Canvas Conference (WACC)—to explore the intersections of assessment\, teaching\, learning\, and technology. This year’s theme\, “Heart. Mind. Community.” focuses on supporting one another\, growing together\, and building a stronger human-centered working and learning ecosystem. Come engage with colleagues from across the state and leave with fresh ideas and practical strategies that make a difference for students—and the people who serve them. \nTIDL will be hosting a watch party in the Faculty Center (9-109) so that colleagues across campus can learn and discuss together! \nConference access:\nTIDL will screen the conference in the Faculty Center (9-109) on Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday (4/29-30th)\, so feel free to drop in! \nYou can also set up your own access: TIDL has funded access for all Highline faculty and staff\, but you need to fill out the ATL + WACC 2026 Zoom Events form to RSVP. In this interactive session\, psychologist and educational developer Sarah Rose Cavanagh will guide us through exercises designed to identify courses of action to support student\, faculty\, and staff well-being in an uncertain time. She will share data from psychology\, neuroscience\, and pedagogy to support her proposed actions\, and highlight insights from a new book project on the science of well-being.
