DESCRIPTION:Meeting students where they’re at: Classroom engagement\, accommodation\, and support strategies for neurodivergent learners\nThis workshop will provide faculty with practical strategies for engaging all students\, including neurodivergent students and students with disabilities. Topics include fostering participation in discussions and group work\, classroom management techniques that support diverse learners\, and best practices for implementing disability-related accommodations. Faculty will leave with concrete tools they can apply in their courses. \nLearning Outcomes:\n\nIdentify barriers faced by neurodivergent students and students with disabilities and apply strategies that support diverse participation styles and foster meaningful engagement for all learners.\nApply disability-related accommodations intentionally and in partnership with students to create an equitable and inclusive learning environment.\nDescribe the support services available through Achieve and apply best practices to collaborate with Achieve staff and promote equitable access and belonging.\n\nFacilitators:\n\n\n\nJulie Pollard\, Director of Accessibility Resources\, and Raman Kaur\, Program Manager\nModality:\nHybrid.
